Frequently Asked Questions
Booking
We strongly recommend that you book at your earliest convenience.
This will assure that you will e able to get te trip that you want.
Remember, this is a short fishing season and available dates are limited.
Insuring Gear
You may wish to insure your tackle and other valuable items against damage
or loss as we accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal
gear.
Airline Services
There is an aiport eight miles north of Jackson , with server major
airlines flying in and out of Jackson daily.
Taxi Service
There is a taxi service available to and from the airport. Also
server rent-a-car agencies are located at the airport. We will
supply transportation from Jackson to Base Camp.
Town Services
There are many centrally located motels in Jackson. All of which are
a five minute walk from any needs you might have.
Emergency Evacuation
We are in a wilderness area. Therefore, no motorized vehicles are
allowed. If an emergency evacuation is necessary, we have access to
a US Forest Service radio and a helicopter can be called in. This is
your obligation and the guest is expected to pay the fee. Rates are
high. Most insurance policies will cover this under their ambulance
clause.
Departure Time
On the pack-in day. If you are driving your own automobile, you need
to be at our base camp, packed and ready to go, by 7:30am. If you
need transportation from Jackson, we will pick you up at your motel at
6:30am to transport you to base camp.
Meals on Days In and Days Out
Breakfast on the morning you pack-in will be your responsibility. we
will provide you with a trail lunch and of course, supper. On
pack-out day we will provide you with breakfast and a trail lunch.
Supper will be your responsibility.
Termination of the Trip
We arrive back at base camp between 3-4pm on pack-out day.
Temperatures and Altitudes
35-30 degrees at night. 65-75 degrees in the daytime. 8-9,000
feet above sea level. |
